Photos are organized with motion effects like panning and zooming, text effects and transition effects, and your choice of background music. For $55.00 you get a DVD of your PhotoShow which can be used in most standard players and viewed on your TV. (Additional DVD's available for $20) Alternatively, we can provide you with an auto-play CD-ROM containing a version of your show which is suitable for viewing and coping.

How it works

Send us the photos (and music if applicable) that you would like us to use in your presentation. Approximately 35 to 50 photos will usually produce a Photo Show that is around four minutes long. We prefer that you e-mail us the photos (or hand deliver) if possible to prevent damage during shipping. All photos sent via regular mail will be promptly returned to you, though we assume no responsibility for damage. We will contact you as soon as we receive your photos to ask you about your desires, and we'll be in frequent communication with you throughout the process. We will e-mail you a link to a Web Show proof for your approval before we finalize production!

Consider some options for background music and a title for your Photo Show, and provide us with any captions you'd like us to use. You may also want certain enhancements or 'corrections' made to some pictures. We are usually able to cut objects or people out of photographs, although an extensive amount of this sort of editing could result in an extra charge which we will agree upon before starting production.

You have two options for submitting your photos.

You can either scan your own pictures, or you can send your physical prints to us... though we assume no responsibility for damage during shipping. If you are scanning your photos: 1. Thoroughly clean the scanner with a dry cloth every few scans. 2. Scan each photo and save it in JPG format. Save each picture with a corresponding number indicating the order that you would like it to appear in the video (e.g. 001.jpg, 002.jpg). 3. Send us a CD-R of your images or submit them as e-mail attachments. 4. It is important to scan at the correct resolution because low resolution files may appear blurry on your TV screen. Set the scanning resolution at 300 dpi if possible. 5. When e-mailing photos, you'll see a box asking you if you want to 'make all pictures smaller'. Do not choose this option. Instead, choose 'keep original sizes'. DO NOT: 1. Do not scan photos that are cut into shapes (circles, hearts, stars, etc.) 2. Do not crop/cut your photos. This often limits our ability to pan and zoom. Include cropping instructions when submitting your photos. Our professional photo editors will make the adjustments.

Sending Prints For Photo Show

1. Number each photo in the order you would like it to appear. (Place a numbered sticky note on the back of each picture or write the number LIGHTLY with a pencil. 2. Place your photos into Zip-lock bags containing a piece of scratch paper with the desired caption (if any) for each photo. 3. Your photos will be returned to you when your video album is shipped.

Hints For Choosing Slideshow Photos

1. Choose photos that evoke emotion. 2. Choose action shots when possible. 3. Choose close-ups rather than far away shots wherever you can. 4. Organize your photos along a 'time line'...(When They Were Kids, Just Married, Children of Their Own, etc.) or by theme.

Hints For Choosing Photo Show Music

1. The music you select will set the mood of your Photo Show album. Take time to really think about what song best fits the 'feel' of your Photo Show. 2. To avoid copyright issues, all "original artists" music is purchased by us through various sources ( i-Tunes, etc.), or must be purchased and provided by the client. We rarely fail to locate the song of your choice. There is no extra charge for this service. Our professional music editors blend (cross-fade) all songs together to prevent any pauses in music within the Photo Show (as you would hear songs blend on the radio). This professional "cross-fading" is done to accomplish a seamless audio presentation throughout the entire Photo Show.
